Baseball Card Math cards. Has anyone ever seen these before?

I have messaged the seller who has a bunch of these for sale at BIN/BO to see if i can get more information. They seem as though they could have been a legit issue by a company or sponsor, but no year or company details. they seem a bit too detailed to be a mass produced fantasy card, but those are getting better and better by the day too.

Some of them are a bit pricy, although the seller looks to be open to offers. I bought the Garvey, just in case this is a chance at a really seldom seen and unique oddball, as it was only $10. I offered less initially, but then figured I was risking this item I have never seen in 40 years of collecting garvey over a few bucks. I went back and just did the BIN. I checked sold listings and at the time, only the Ryan has also sold.

If it is a custom/fantasy/ACEO card, well then I have paid more for them before, so I will not be embarrassed or regretful.

A lot of odd stuff was offered and maybe sold into schools. That educational market is a tough one, and some of that stuff probably sold very poorly.

With the title "baseball card math" I'd think this was one of those things. It's odd that it has no copyright or other identifying info.

The identifying info I can tell, is not really present on the Peter Rose or HOF examples from the set. There is a Fernando Valenzuela card in the set, and it says career games of 298. This places the set's release after the 1989 MLB season. Not knowing at which point in manufacturing process the stats were collected, the only known safe release date would be 1990 or later.

The seller got back to me and speculated issue date of around 1990-91 or so. I didn't look at all of them, but there may be other subtle clues. I want to say one didn't mention a HOF induction like others did even though the player was a HOFer (maybe the Reggie card?). That would put them before 93.

Seems these can be even further pinpointed to 1990. The stats of the then current players were through 1989, as previously pointed out. The HOFers were noted by year of election, but I found an even better example than Jackson. Perry was elected in 1991, but his card does not reflect that.

Received my cards today. For reference, these are oversized, similar to the old scholastic flash card sizes.

I wonder what math you were supposed to do with these? Maybe see how batting average is calculated? They don’t seem too useful for teaching math.
