1910 Pittsburgh Pirates Yearbook – Wagner**SOLD**
Posted By: <b>Pat Nester</b><p>Issued in 1910 is this very early yearbook for the Pirates. Oversized publication measures 9 inches by 12 inches. The cover depicts a pirate sitting on a baseball that has crushed a tiger celebrating the Pirates victory over Detroit in the 1909 World Series. The booklet contains 32 pages. Inside are pictures of all the Pirates players including Houns Wagner and Fred Clarke with a photograph of their face superimposed on a cartoon. Also included is a picture of the new Forbes Field, a recap of the 1909 World Series, schedule for 1910, player and team stats, etc. The program was exposed to moisture at one point which has caused damaged to the spine and damage and paper loss to each of the pages as shown in the scans on the interior. The program is still handable. Ink notations on the cover indicate it was purchased at a double header game against the Cubs in June 1910 and there are some other names written on the cover.
