1960 Baseball Hi-Lites blank backs I'm looking for information about 1960 Nu-Card Baseball Hi-Lites with blank backs. We know cards #1-18 were printed in either red-and-black with printed backs, or in black-only fronts. I've been asked to confirm whether or not the all-black cards can be found with printed backs, or if those are all blank backs. Can you help? |

Have you gotten any further with your question? I too am curious. How RARE are the black and white version as opposed to the red, black and white? What's the premium generally on them? The few black and white I have seen have ALL been blank back. Alan |

1 Attachment(s) Hi Bob, I only collect Cardinals so I have #s 12 Marty Marion, #13 Alexander, #14 Dean Bros, and #21 Musial. The first 3 I have in both formats, the Musial only in the printed back. I remember looking for a Musial with a blank back when I was putting these together, never found one. I think the blank backs are only #s1-18. I would surmise that the blank backs (black print) were printed last, because they corrected the reversed negative on the Dean Bros card. See photo. |

Thanks, all We're going to list the set in the 2011 book, probably under CVC Baseball Hi-Lites. It appears they were #1-18 only, all blank-back. Randy, good catch on the Dean photo! |
