That is the greatest listing in the history of the bay!

And the exacta comes in with the best description you're bound to see...

"this is an amazing find found in great grandfathers bible"

Incredible find Dave. You really out-did yourself this time!

Kawika 03-27-2010 01:46 AM

Although it would have been even better if he found it in his ggf's Koran.

thekingofclout 03-27-2010 01:53 AM

I stand corrected...

teetwoohsix 03-27-2010 02:22 AM

Man,that dude looks GREASY!!What is he doing in bed naked with that poor Ted Williams card??

This is got to be one of the strangest yet :D

Can't stop laughing.....thanks David!!!

barrysloate 03-27-2010 05:15 AM

Whenever I scan cards for ebay I always first remember to put my pants on.

Brian Van Horn 03-27-2010 05:50 AM

Logic 101:

The old saying goes for every rule there is an exception.

There is also an old advertising saying that sex sells.

This is the exception to that rule.

T206DK 03-27-2010 06:13 AM

Did he find the 3 Dale Earnhardt cards in the bible too...I like the white sheet hung over the window in the background too. Looks like some expensive interior design work there :)

AndyG09 03-27-2010 06:17 AM

Doesn't he normally charge like 10K to see any part of his collection?

Pup6913 03-27-2010 06:36 AM

:eek::eek::eek: WOW :eek::eek::eek:

Looks like some of the houses and homeowners I have to deal with when hooking up Dish:D

Robextend 03-27-2010 06:44 AM

At least I know what a 1941 baseball card looks like now.

wonkaticket 03-27-2010 06:52 AM

It's really hard to concentrate on the card because I keep getting lost in his eyes... :p

GrayGhost 03-27-2010 06:55 AM

LOL..my first laugh of the day. Thanks guys for this one?

That guy looks like he's kinda....... to that card..DISTURBINGGGG:eek:

Jay Wolt 03-27-2010 07:28 AM

Pretty cool that his great grandfather was buying 1991 Upper Deck Ted Williams insert cards

T206DK 03-27-2010 07:35 AM

Ha -Ha....I just LOL'ed all over the place after reading that one

Jeff Price 03-27-2010 07:37 AM

It doesn't get any better than that..thanks for making my morning.Jeff

Jerry G 03-27-2010 04:49 PM

It gets even better! He has edited the auction.

He must be getting desparate. He has added a baby's needs and Grandma's resistance to his story. So, he lowered the BIN!

"this is an amazing find found in great grandfathers bible
I need the money to buy baby things but if it does not sell soon its not going to be sold at all cause it is kinda something my grandma does not want me to sell but like i said need the money i dropped the buy now to 350 thats cheap"

Omg

He is doing the Castanza (Daily Seinfeld reference) pose by leaning on elbow and hand on head. Who took this picture ? This is sick.... What a Poser

slidekellyslide 03-27-2010 05:04 PM

This should be illegal...avert your eyes.

ElCabron 03-27-2010 05:10 PM

This might be my favorite eBay listing ever. It's so hard not to send this guy a "general question about this item" simply saying, "Will you marry me?"

Before you all scoff at this card, be sure to note that it states very clearly in the "Grade" section that the card, like the seller, is an 8.5.

Pup6913 03-27-2010 05:26 PM

maybe we all should take a small collection up to have him never sell on Ebay again. I would drop a $5 spot for that.:D

Pup6913 03-27-2010 05:27 PM

BTW I hope someone on here is saving these pics for future reference:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Pup6913 03-27-2010 06:03 PM

Guy has a card on the BST. its a buscuit card:D:D:D

At least he has lower case letters on his computer. Unfortunately, he is missing all punctuation marks.

Punctuation is overrated.

mdschulze 03-27-2010 06:42 PM

It may be my imagination..... but I think his nipple is winking?

iggyman 03-27-2010 07:56 PM

Oh, the horror! Leon, I would like to formally demand that a certain "Net54er" (who shall remain nameless) sustain not one but two demerits for starting this thread!!! This hobby of ours was much less complicated when Nixon was President.

Where have you gone, Joe DiMaggio
A nation turns its lonely eyes to you (Woo, woo, woo)
What's that you say, Mrs. Robinson
Joltin' Joe has left and gone away
(Hey, hey, hey...hey, hey, hey)

Lovely Day...

You are so right, Iggy. What was I thinking? I shall prepare a formal apology in a separate thread at once.

Tim Kindler 03-27-2010 08:05 PM

Nipple?

I thought that was his belly button. Look, He has an INNY!:p

Ladder7 03-27-2010 08:06 PM

T206DK 03-27-2010 08:13 PM

that could be washed up WWF wrestler Bam Bam Bigelow trying to earn some cash...I see a vague resemblance. Wait to see if he lists any autographed wrestling cards  :p

teetwoohsix 03-27-2010 08:30 PM

C'mon guys, don't make fun of his talking nipple. His nipple,by the way,is the one who told him to go against grandma's wishes and sell grandpa's cards for big bucks............

slidekellyslide 03-27-2010 09:05 PM

This guy looks like John Belushi on his deathbed.

Vol 03-27-2010 09:32 PM

Does it get any funnier!? Dont think so..His user name is strange and perfect.

Made me laugh.

Jerry G 03-27-2010 09:35 PM

I didn't even notice the guy in the tea kettle until you mentioned it, Jerry. That's just not right this early in the morning. :(
