Looking for Card Storage Advice

Hey Guys,
Unfortunately one of the members of this board was recently burglarized. We all know that the poor guys cards were taken. Wondering how people are ensuring the safety of their cards? Are people buying safes, renting out safety security boxes, or other methods? Just curious what people have done besides insuring and cataloging their collections to ensure safety. Any insight on this would be much appreciated.
Thanks,

Besides the dog?

A "few" thousand modern cards. All in boxes with rather cryptic labeling.
If they're pressed for time, it'll be like the lottery. But with less payout.
If they're not pressed for time, ther really isn't much that would stop a pro from getting at them.

Like I tell customers at the bike shop, there's no lock that can't be beaten. It's just a matter of making it too hard to be worth the time.

Most gun safes will yeild pretty easily to a metal cutting torch, which I have here for my metalworking hobbies.
