T206 - Obscure Toughies

What are some of the obscure, tougher commons from the T206 set (independent of condition?) My second attempt at the Monster is in it's infancy, and I would like to build a cohesive list. I was able to document a few from this archived thread. Are there any listed in that thread whose scarcity can be disputed?"

Any help is appreciated.

Jason, I think much of that is about right.

If you're wanting to study this, read Scot Reader's Inside T206, which you can download as a pdf. AND, find a copy of Mr. Lipset's Encyclopedia of Baseball Cards, volume 3. (It was reprinted with all 3 volumes together, volume 3 deals with 20th century tobacco cards.)

Reaulbach with glove is obvious. McQuillan with that ball, Puttman, I think Powers, Donlin fielding, the easier version of all of those guys with a more difficult version, such as Lundgren or Dahlen,

While not less plentiful, there is slightly more demand for the portrait cards, and that pushes on their price just a bit.

And the cards that are only in series 150 are less likely to be found in great shape, just ever so slightly.

Some folks will add to this, or take exception to part or all of it, but what I set out is my experience and belief.

Thanks for your insight, Frank. I have the 3-in-1 Lipset and Inside T206. I read Lipset's almost every day, but only bits and pieces of Reader's. I guess I need to really digest what is there.
