SportsCardLink Inaugural Auction continues

Sportscardlink has been one of the longest running supporters of Net54baseball and I am happy to post this short message for them, concerning their inaugural auction. It does look to be a good one and good luck to all who go for something: (Leon)

The current SportsCardLink Featured Auction, which launched January 14th and which closes January 27th, features important and exciting sports cards and sports memorabilia from the late 1800s to the present day. Graded sports card lots date from the late 19th Century through 1980, and memorabilia is centered around vintage items ranging from game worn articles and game used bats, to vintage photos and pins to signed balls and world series awards. Unique and historical items are showcased within this auction, including the only card we've ever seen certified as "Once Owned by Mantle" and it is his 1952 Topps Rookie Card in a tightly graded SGC 6 (80)! Mickey Mantle's 1951 rookie cleats with Phil Rizzuto provenance is another historical lot within this auction, and the 1915 Boston Red Sox Championship pin with Babe Ruth and Tris Speaker may be a singular item in as high a grade as is offered here! Within this auction we also feature many items from the personal collections of both Ralph Terry and Ed Kranepool.

Individual graded card highlights include: a 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle SGC 6 (80 EX/NM) once owned by Mantle himself (a unique and historical item); a 1914 Cracker Jack Ty Cobb in PSA 6 (within the top 10 graded overall); 1908 E102 Honus Wagner (Batting) SGC 6 (80 EX/NM), Highest; a T3 Turkey Red Bill Carrigan SGC 6 (80 EX/NM), Single Highest; a T205 Christy Mathewson in PSA 7; a T206 Ty Cobb (Portrait) in PSA 5; a rare 1911 M110 Ty Cobb SGC 2 (30 Good); a 1933 Goudey #181 Babe Ruth in PSA 5; a 1933 Goudey Lou Gehrig #160, SGC 5 (60 EX); a 1939 Play Ball Joe Dimaggio in PSA 8; a 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle #311 PSA 4; a gorgeous 1953 Topps Willie Mays in PSA 7; high-grades such as a 1956 Frank Gifford and a 1968 Roger Maris in PSA 10, as well as numerous other high grade cards from the 50's, 60's and beyond; and much more!

Memorabilia Highlights include: selections from the Personal Collections of Ralph Terry and Ed Kranepool; Mickey Mantle's rookie year cleats from the collection of Phil Rizutto; a very rare, remarkably high-grade 1915 Boston Red Sox team picture pin with Babe Ruth; Ralph Terry's 1962 World Series MVP Award; a Type I 1940s Babe Ruth photo with a rare PSA/DNA 9 signature; a 1962 Roberto Clemente PSA/DNA GU 9 bat; a 1977 Reggie Jackson PSA/DNA GU 9.5 bat with Ralph Terry provenance linked to World Series Game 6; a 1961 Yankees Team Signed ball with Mantle, Ford, and Berra on the sweet spot (from the collection of Ralph Terry); a 1969 Mets World's Champions gold pendant with diamond from the collection of Ed Kranepool; a pre-rookie 1923 Lou Gehrig glass photographic negative; Three Signed and Numbered Leroy Neiman Serigraphs; a very unusual Rocky Marciano signed letter discussing the meeting of Cassius Clay and the Beatles (PSA/DNA 9); and much more!"
