As the only bidder on this one, I knew at 4 PM yesterday that I got this.

This will fit with my early Harvard sports collection - a panoramic from the opening of Harvard Stadium in 1903...

I bought this group of 1920s World Series press pins solely for the 1920 Cleveland version (top left). The others, clockwise, are 1925 Washington Senators, 1927 Pittsburgh Pirates and 1926 New York Yankees.

If anyone is interested in any of the other three, drop me a line and we'll see if we can work out something.

Here is REA's description of the lot:

Awesome Scott!

I remember being on Soldiers Fld Rd as a little kid and gawking at that majestic old stadium. I knew magic happened there.

Nowadays, there are too many buildings and trees hiding it from the main roads.

Had a 1900ish postcard of alumni flooding over the Lars, with that palace, prominently off in the distance. I'll need to find another someday.

This was my sports memorabilia win:

I also won the unopened Beatles rack packs: http://bid.robertedwardauctions.com/...x?itemid=20003

Paid a little more than I wanted too but my mom is a huge Beatles fan and when I showed her the packs, she immediately fell in love with them. Her 60th birthday is next month so I figured that would be a good gift.

Thanks Steve - working there and parking in the stadium lot has got me hooked on finding any turn-of-the-century Harvard stuff, so I was happy with this one!

Great pins, Rob! I imagine you won't have too much trouble finding takers for the three others in the lot!

Scott: I like that Harvard Stadium Pano! The first NFL game I went to in person was in 1970 as a 10 year old at Harvard. Pats/Chargers, it was pouring rain before the game and when me and Dad found our seats, we were on the 40 just under the overhang and out of the rain. Sweet memory for me of the old stadium.

I managed to pick up the 1912 Red Sox World Series Game #8 program (the clincher) last night at what I thought was a very reasonable price.

Shutout in the REA auction last night

I ended up as the underbidder in the only two lots I went after in the REA auction last night. :(

The one lot that I really wanted was the game ball from Nolan Ryan's ML record 383 K game in 1973. I attended this game in person as a teenager and was hoping to win it. If one of the other people on this board won it- congrats! It's a great piece....

I picked up this, as the only bidder. Was a bit surprised to be the only bidder. Were people scared off by the recent fakes found in Halper's collection? I thought this was a pretty safe item.
Lost out on the other BUffalo Fed. League lot.

I broke the bank a little and took home these two . . .

If the winner of the Mrs. Sherlock pin lot is interested in selling any, I would be very interested in buying the Hugh Bedient pin from this lot:

Thanks!
