The Cadillac of baseball advertising trade cards - Tobin 56 series (H 804-21)

I just read through Frank Keetz's third edition of 'Baseball advertising trade cards' - which is very well done!

Frank writes about the Tobin 56 series, H 804-21, which includes 10 cards with major league player names, five being HOF like Anson and Kelly.

I'd like to see these images. Can board members post scans (HOF in particular)?

Happy 4th!

These have several other identifying numbers, also called H891 series and the 1887 Tobin Lithographs--Color series (listed as such in the SCD). I have one scan (not mine) shown, but the cards are seen on occasion on ebay.

Here's a badly trimmed HOFer:

Here are a couple more of the more common H891's

IMO the Cadillac of these cards are really the 2 very rare B&W sets (Keetz calls them H804-22 and H804-23). Both of the B&W sets are so much tougher than the color one!!!

Simply TREMENDOUS cards from a great guy!

I am following this thread with excitement!
I met Frank Keetz at the first Cooperstown Show way back around 1980 with such other NY State legendary collectors as Don Flewelling. These gentlemen and many others were very kind and friendly towards a teenager like me who was eager to learn about such great vintage cards.
Now, after all these decades, I just want to say that guys like Mr. Keetz and Mr. Flewelling are simply Hall of Famers in our community.
I propose a toast to such wonderful guys!
Thank you,

These also are found in a much rarer black and white set.
