I've got my opinion, but I'm curious as to what other members of net54 think about the possibility that this is real?

Well...not sure but I do know I've never seen the Babe write out NY Yanks in that way.

Pretty sure thats not the babe's hand writting under the sig.

I have a ball with a ton of writting in the hand of Ruth and it looks nothing like this.

It's not the Babe's signature, either.
