Yankee letters

With Yankee letters were they signed by the players or a clubhouse member. I saw one that's supposed to be signed by houk, mantle, Maris and then on the bottom it's says we're rooting for you and signed by several other members.

Most of the Yankee letters that I have seen have a facsimile or rubber stamped signature.
It would help if you posted the letter you are asking about.

Rubber-stamped signatures.

Brock,
Those signatures are rubber stamps.

Richard, David
Just curious do you believe all the signatures are rubber stamped or just the houk, mantle, and maris. The others at the bottom dont look that way to me.
And yes I do agree the 3 are rubber stamped

The Maris is the classic rubber stamped Mais, I have seen it many times.
The bottom ones could be real, hard to be certain on that scan.
If Brock could scan only the bottom sigs I could probably tell.

I received the identical Maris and Mantle stamps when I wrote to the Yankees in 1961.

From their placement and alignment alone, the bottom signatures don't look "right." And there's no variation in shading anywhere (except where the stamp didn't take.)

Richard,
Can't get a close up. This was coming up in a local auction and wanted to see whether they may be real.

Hum. Just my opinion but the bottom sigs. (even if they dont look real) dont look rubber stamped at all to me.

FWIW, I believe they are ALL stamped.
