In Action...

Please show some cards, postcards, etc of real game action...Here's two. Can you believe the Babe had to slide on at least one occasion?!

awesome action postcards...Jason, man...what an image...I love the sky...and the lack of anything...no benches...hardly any equipment...the players sitting on the ground...what an incredible image...that card belongs in MN!!!!!!

Can't do it, Peter. ;) It's the companion to my Keystones team postcard. To find one in action to go along with the team shot was a phenomenal thing to me. Keystones must have been barnstorming and should be the guys in the light colored sweaters in the action image.

You posted '2 Strikes', so I'll add 'one strike':

I'll grant you that one Scott, but I bet you can't come up with another card "when Polly farmed" :)

A couple of Evers in action...

Can't compare with the RPPCs so far, but here are two cards of Johnny Evers in action:

All those cards are striking! Can it get any better than those in terms of putting you right there in the moment? Hard to imagine it could. They hit all but one of my senses, based on my memories of playing, but factoring in my admiration for y'alls tastes in cards, all have been hit. Very neat

Greg,
Those are some beautiful Fro Joy's. This photo is from a game played in Valley City, Dak, Dec. 26, 1885.

Here is one of Zach Wheat sliding vs the Cubs.

That's an interesting photo, particularly the positions the fielders are in and where the glove is relative to the ball. And Zach was a very stocky dude - a hoss! Great picture
