Wheel of Fortune - Wanna buy a Vowel?

Just received a card in the mail with some sort of wet sheet transfer on the reverse. Chris has already taken a shot and I am posting his scans instead of mine. Any help in deciphering the code or its source is appreciated, but you will not win an all expense paid trip to the Maldives.

I understand that with the letters revealed, that it is not a wet sheet transfer from another T206 issue and calling it a wet sheet transfer is technically incorrect.

Appears to be a transfer from what whatever the card was stored in or glued into. It would not be any type of T206 tranfer. common to see the notebook lines on various Tcards, this may have glued to something more on the lines of the cereal box homemade cards in the other thread.

Seems like it could be a school course: Introduction to ???

Bocabirdman 02-04-2013 05:46 PM

I do not believe that is an "n" next to the "o". What I see is a lower case "u"

frankbmd 02-04-2013 09:29 PM

I'll take a b and then an e

Playing around a little more with the images, would suggest two additional letters on top

.....ction to be......

More sure of the b than the e

and then on the lower half below the red line above cigarettes

....THE RES--ING......

part of it is definitely transfer from a t206. the lines going through it are spaced perfectly with the top of the "t" from Piedmont running through the bottom of the "c".

also, doesn't the space between the edge of the card and the "c" suggest that there's nothing before the "c"?

I'd like to solve the puzzle Alex

"Introduction to business"

I can make out the "u" next to the "b" and the "e" to the right of the border

The block of letters with the blue background in the left image in Post # 1 was transferred from the right side and dropped down below the corresponding letters on the left images. Elements of Piedmont are included in that transfer.

The card itself is clearly a Piedmont. What has been added (by accident from storage (?)) does not seem to reflect any elements from a tobacco card back.

Nothing appears to be in front of the "c", but logic would dictate that there is and it just doesn't show up.

It probably has something to do with Joe Jackson. The color is similar to what he would wear.

Everyone seems be immediately jumping to the ction being introduction. I'm thinking maybe, "inspection" to be....

Jlighter 02-05-2013 07:48 AM

Maybe the ction is election, as in election to congress.

Ahh ED... Same thing happened to me last month, when I placed my cards atop my Cialis prescription.

Maybe it was stuck in a vacuum cleaner manual.

"Suction to blow"

or as Steve alluded to.........maybe a warning label for ED medication.

:D
