Antonio Gates Game Used Chargers Helmet. What's it worth?
 

Someone I know has an Antonio Gates game used helmet for sale. Could anyone help me out with the value? Thank you very much.

Is the item signed? If so, you could command $500-$600...

Unsigned is more in the $250-$400 range....Do you have any additional info; photo's, provenance as to how it was obtained, specific game played in, etc.

I'm certainly no expert in the field of game used football items, but I would expect a LEGIT game used Gates helmet to be worth closer to $1000+.

I believe helmets are generally more difficult to acquire than jerseys as fewer are used per season (think game worn baseball gloves vs game used bats) thus the selling price is higher.

An authentic helmet cost $275. From my buying experience a common player's
Helmet could run anywhere from$1000 and up. Mid-level to major Stars could run $1500 to Many thousands. Check ebay for game used for any players to give you an idea of what they go for. Authgraphed game used just add to the unsigned price.
