Looking at tobacco card era ads
they always show the cards coming up out of the pack with the name on top. Wouldn't it be something if we found out that was supposed to be the way the cards were produced, and all this time, we've been collecting mis-cuts?
(I know, they were shown this way only for advertising purposes, but wonder who were the first ones to take the cards and think they had a error because the name was at the bottom, not the top?) |
Wonder if there was a 1909 equivalent to Johnny, just picking up the really messed up ones. :confused:
I picture this scrappy little kid working the deals for the "junk". Picking miscuts over apples, trading food stamps for double namers. Thinking of this makes me smile. |
