1958 photograph of Mike McCormick of the San Francisco Giants. This is a 7" x 9" News Wire Photograph. 1958 was the year the Giants moved from New York to San Francisco. This 1958 four panel photo shows McCormick winding up and delivering a pitch during a game against the Pittsburgh Pirates on 05/06/1958 at Seals Stadium in San Francisco. McCormick won the game 7-0 throwing a 3-hitter. This is an early example of a photo of a Giants player performing in San Francisco's Seal Stadium during a regular season game just after the team moved from New York. The caption on the front of the photo shows the photo date as 05/07/1958 with the photo credit going to United Press Telephoto. There is an N.E.A file date stamp of 05/12/1958 on the back. The "Watermark" is of course NOT on the wire photo.
