Buy the card, not the grade 1 Attachment(s) OK, a before and after shot. 1914 CJ Oldring #8 in that PSA 2.5 holder (that doesn't "hold" the card, hate those cheap oversized that allows the card to swim around) Anyway, I always thought it looked better than that - cracked out, resubmitted and this is what came back at the National. Obviously pleased, but goes back to the question of TPG consistency. Mistakes, opinions, time, etc - all factor in and I get that. 1/2 grade, 1 grade - sure, all the time - even 1 & 1/2 .. but this..? |

Looks MUCH better in the black frame! |

Was there warping or staining on the card? I know that in the past, PSA was much tougher on stains than SGC. |

nice eye winner winner! great job on judging that card. it does look better now. don't know why PSA uses those "baggies", I know they have plastic that fits the cj's better than that! |

Nice upgrade Ed. I agree the sgc case should be its home. |

upgrade Looks much better and congrats! Those loose PSA holders are horrible...they remind me of one of those cheap knock-off TPG holders. |

Staining Staining may have played into it somewhat, although I thought that was taken into consideration and accepted as these came raw in CJ boxes (did they not?) and are pretty common. Who knows - while glad of the bump, I posted more along the lines of surprise at the amount it bumped and in question of the consistency in grading. |

Good on ya judging the card and not being dissuaded by the low number in the first place.. and I'm sure for getting a pretty good deal in doing so. |
