some kind of 1880's trade card...way overpriced in my opinion.

Tea card premiums. It wasn't just tobacco companies that had card premiums in the late 1800's, although they were the most prolific. Arbuckles' Coffee was one of the more prolific non-tobacco issuers.

The cards are much bigger than tobacco cards, usually in the 3x5 or 4x6 range, which reflects the larger packaging they came in. And usually they are on much thinner stock as well.

If I recall correctly I have seen some of these go in the $5-$25 range before....maybe a bit more for something very ornate or interesting.

hmmmmmmmm

It's a TRADE card NOT an insert. It's a moderately tough card/group to find complete (and it's a 3or 4 way cross collectible). Assuming vg/x range @ 5. a card just keep sending them my way - 25. - 45. more in the ballpark. I would think 125. - 150. for the group (as it's complete) about right - 225. pretty strong but there's noone you can go to and just ask to buy them as the trade card market a bit thin and static. Unsure if this is matched set as there were 3 different printing styles / variations for this set of 4 and I didn't look at the condition closely. For them dat care - this is designated H804-5.

I had similar cards that ended up going $80-$125 each. I spoke with Leon prior to buying and he said roughly $25-$50...

Maybe the market is heading up on that kind of stuff just due to age?

Some, as the original one in this thread, have categories and themes that go for more. I am sticking with my original estimate otherwise....and if anyone wants to pay more than $50 each please PM me :).......

I won't PM . They are kind of cool but I think $40 each is good .
