Williams and DiMaggio help. Charity auction

4 Attachment(s)
I saw this at a mall supporting a local charity. It's a reasonable price and for a great cause. I'm not too familiar with their autographs, and there are way too many fakes.

Sorry for the scans, had to quickly take them. Looked like it was on a reprint magazine cover.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Williams and DiMaggio help. Charity auction

Dang. Unfortunately, what I had figured.

I almost want to get it anyway to support the cause, $200.

Thanks!

You are looking at Florida. One hint. When you see a Williams with a double dot over the m the chances of its being good is slim and none.

Brent,
I agree that they are both bad.
Here is what a real one looks like.

If you saw it in Minnesota it was probably PSA charity auctions. The PSA charity guy came to my booth once at the national in Cleveland asking opinions about Williams, DiMaggio, and Mantle autos that a guy was selling across the aisle for the typical $100-150 for 11x14 and 16x20's. The dealer had a role of global stickers he was putting on the photos. I told the charity guy they are blatant forgeries and explained to him why, but he went over and started negotiating with the guy anyways. I told the national "staff" about it and they could have cared less. A lot of his lower end stuff is ok generally, but I have yet to see a Mantle, DiMaggio, or Williams, Tiger Woods, etc. that was.

The charity actually gets a small cut above the cost of what they paid the company who provided the bad memorabilia. So regrettably, the cause you are primarily supporting is the bad company who provided a bad item.

You'd be better off cutting a check to the charity rather than supporting the charity fake scammers.

That's exactly what it was. The high end stuff I believe had crap certs like GAI (low end GAI were good), and Steiner or other private signings.
