1967 Topps Baseball Set 528/609 with Stars & High Numbers
I've given up on trading for my 1967 Topps High Numbers, so I am just going to auction off my second set here and use the money to purchase the high numbers I need for set #1.
This auction is for a 1967 Topps Baseball Partial Set (528 of 609) with Stars, RCs, High Numbers, etc. Condition ranges from Poor (only a few) to EX-MT (also only a few). On average, I would call this a VG set. Hey, it is probably the toughest 1960's set to complete and this one gives you an 87% head start! All in 9-pocket sleeves in a white binder. Includes many of the stars, rookies, tons of mid-high numbers and a few high numbers. Sorry, you are on your own for getting Seaver and Carew and the other high numbers, just like me! Auction begins immediately upon posting and ends Friday, June 26th at 8 PM C.S.T. Let's start it at less than 75 cents per card - $395 - increments of $5 or more, please. Shipping and Insurance will be $15 Priority Mail. Please note, I will not take Paypal on this one. I need a money order or check, sent in a bubble mailer. (I can explain this later to the winning bidder, sorry it seems odd!). http://i274.photobucket.com/albums/j...psk5hc8b2j.jpg http://i274.photobucket.com/albums/j...ps2y13ef68.jpg http://i274.photobucket.com/albums/j...pst8efofer.jpg http://i274.photobucket.com/albums/j...pscpbtwzpt.jpg http://i274.photobucket.com/albums/j...psegkjy0fn.jpg http://i274.photobucket.com/albums/j...pskqcfnxbp.jpg http://i274.photobucket.com/albums/j...pswghd8by0.jpg http://i274.photobucket.com/albums/j...psfnxorf92.jpg http://i274.photobucket.com/albums/j...pse1vowjff.jpg http://i274.photobucket.com/albums/j...psqymalwdf.jpg http://i274.photobucket.com/albums/j...psrbskkwsl.jpg |

Ends Tonight!
Less than 75 cents a card opening bid - ends tonight!

In my opinion, the toughest set of the 1960s to complete. I feel the Seaver rookie is much tougher then the Rose rookie.

pending investigation???
Uh, there is no investigation.
1) Sean emailed me last week to try to offer me less for the set, which I declined. 2) I told him if there was no opening bid of $395, I had another gentleman (who used to own this exact set) offer to make payments on it IF IT DID NOT SELL AT THE OPENING BID. 3) Then Sean placed a $375 bid on the set. Unfortunately, the minimum bid was always $395, so the $375 was void. 4) Regardless, a new bidder placed a bid at precisely 8 PM, the last possible time, for the proper $395, and thereby won the auction fairly. All is well...
Sean PM'ed to explain he simply got the numbers confused when he saw my note of 75 cents per card and he thought $375 in his head.
I also edited the title before the auction ended - I was just extending the description, but I can see how someone might have thought I was changing the starting bid by editing during the course of the auction. We are all good - just an honest mistake and all is forgiven. I will continue to deal with Sean in good conscience. Thanks! Mark |
