Happy to get this one. I made a good run at an E98 Dahlen (blue) that I needed to complete a color run, but somebody wanted it more than me. Oh well, maybe next time.

Won two of the four lots I was high bidder on when I tucked in at 2 am. As a bidder, wish the lots would close individually but certainly understand the consigners interest.

judsonhamlin 06-12-2016 12:51 PM

Won the E90 Brown that had great registration and no lipstick.
Lost out on the Hostess lot - if anyone here won that, I'm looking for some '78 and '79 panels for now.

This was one of my wins. Don't know much about it, but it has great eye appeal to me. The reverse was addressed to someone in Ohio, and I'm driving to Ohio next week, so it was a sign!!! Nice too see that type cards and postcards are alive and doing very well! I'm in the zombie category along with others for staying up late.

Im happy to have won half the lots I bid on and the one I really wanted. Im afraid a Old Mill Cabinet is just out of my reach at this time. The Walters went way above my bid after the auction went into extended time.

A fine addition to my T210 Error collection.

rhettyeakley 06-12-2016 03:00 PM

I won a Home Run Kisses card and (3) couponed Zeenuts including the 1914 Barton. Great auction, a little something for everyone it seemed!

On a side note if anyone won the lot of 22 1912 zeenut cards I only needed one and would trade heavily in your favor for the card I need.

bbcard1 06-12-2016 03:42 PM

broke into the folding money to add the T206 Broadleaf Davidson.

I had other reasons for being awake late, otherwise I would have bid earlier.

Cheers,

Just in case you missed my post about this postcard in another thread the player pictured here is not Guy W. Green, it's an unidentified player, I've been trying to identify him for years now with no luck as to his real name. There are two other cards in this series of postcards that I know of and they also say "Guy w. Green, mgr" on the front as well.

I believe the player shown on your postcard went by the name "Thorgy". He is second from left in the back row.

Here's an 8x10 photograph that was clearly the same photo used for the postcard.

Haven't collected e98s in years really although I still have my master set of commons. When I collected years back, a big deal was made about the Red Lajoie being brutally difficult, if not the toughest color variation in the set. Snagged me one in this auction....not sure if it's still considered a toughie or not. When I was collecting, I was primarily focused on the commons and didn't pay any attention to the HOFers :)

I really like LOTG Auctions, I'm like a kid in a candy store. They always seem to have something for everyone. Hal, I was the underbidder on the Donlin collection, congrats. Todd, would of loved a Broadleaf for my back run, it just wasn't my time.

I've been looking for this postcard for some time. Ever since a couple Net54 members identified all the players, I've been intrigued. Living in Colorado and having visited the Royal Gorge makes it a "must have."

Love the Exhibits Jeff. Very under valued and many cool photos. Zeenuts with coupons are very rare as well.

I'd love to know who walked away with the signed T206 Wheat, signed T206 Marquard, and signed T205 Walsh. Some record-setting prices there...

ValKehl 06-14-2016 01:30 PM

I won these 3 cards for my type collection. Also, I am working on a back run for this particular Jennings pose with the orange background. And, I am very slowly working on a collection of Eppa Rixey cards, because we have the same alma mater (UVA, which, BTW, won the 2015 CWS!). I love it when I am able to acquire a card that fits two of my collecting focuses.

I got two nice strip cards, Urban Shocker (W501) and Gehrig (W502), and one of the 1929 Exhibit cards Star Picture Stamps (Pink).

Looked long and hard at the Delong set but wasn't happy with the overall condition of many cards. Very cool set though. Wanted the Ruth profile Exhibits but fell asleep. Ditto for the Earl Averill.

Great selection of stuff. Could be wrong but didn't see tremendous demand for a lot of the Tigers collection.

Whoever got the LaJoie got a pretty good deal.

Little impulse buy when other things didn't pan out. Building back some of my BF3's I sold years ago.....................

Pete, good question. Being a great procrastinator, I've yet to do the research I've been intending to do. I decided to do this back run when I won the T216 Virginia Extra in last year's Heritage auction of Leon's type collection. I already had this Jennings pose for my T216 Kotton, T216 Mino, and Tango Eggs type cards. And, orange has always been one of my favorite colors. Since deciding to do this back run, I've picked up an E92 Dockman and an E92 Croft's Candy (blue back). I know there are more T216 Kottons and E92s to be acquired, and some other E cards as well. If anyone happens to have this back combos info, or knows where I can readily obtain it, kindly LMK.
