Doing my due diligence given the recent questions about Say Hey holos.

Nothing proven/substantiated, but there's been a major influx of Mays items into the market. Check out eBay right now. Signed 8x10s of 'the catch' with Say Hey holos are selling for $20-30 and sellers are selling lots of 5 of the photo right and left. Collectors at the National have said dealers have literal stacks of Mays signed photos. Either there was a big warehouse of Mays autographs that someone got into or someone is counterfeiting the hologram.
A lot of whispers say PSA/JSA have stopped authenticating items with the holo.

Heck, this seller alone is selling 40+ signed Mays photos with Say Hey. http://www.ebay.com/sch/m.html?_odkw...+mays&_sacat=0

Either a fake or an extremely ugly real example in my opinion. Even if it was real, wait for a better example. Who wants a dented can?

I'm with you. Plus, it seems like every good Say Hey bat I can find is signed on a personal model bat and the hologram is either on the knob or to the left of the signature. Too many red flags here.

I forgot that I had posted my Willie ball at the bottom of the first link. Is the thought it's fake? I can deal with it if it is, but then I have to get a new Willie. It's also authenticated by PSA, but that doesn't mean too much, either.

I like your ball much more than the bat. The bat has the weird slant in the 'illie' and the 'W' (or whatever it's supposed to be) appears slowly drawn. Your ball has much better flow.

Interesting observation. I see what you're saying.
