1959 Fleer Ted Williams Set
 

Noticed a lot of posts about this awesome set in another thread. So figured I would start a thread just for them. I stole this set from a fellow member a couple years ago. Didn't really steal it but got an amazing price.:) The cards are all in amazing condition. The Ted Signs card is the only one with any problems. There is a very small bump in the card stock and it caused a small print error in that area during the printing process.

Just see a bunch on E-Bay but unfortunately, the seller doesn't ship to Canada.

I bought 10-15 EXish cards from this set on COMC for between $3-5 each. And you don't have to ship them individually... so that would be my recommendation if you're looking to put this set together from your living room, Irv.

Great tribute set.
Really tells a story.

Beautiful set! Is that a print spot between their heads on your graded Ted Signs card? If so is there a small indent on the card back and a small bubble under it on the card front? That is exactly the same place as my print error only yours is much darker.

In the early 1980's, you could buy a near mint set (including card #68) for about $100. Being a Ted Williams fan, I acquired several of these sets.

T'was a great investment......and, some very interesting reading of Ted's life. Especially, the cards related to his Military service.
