Loan a Scott Fitzgerald t206 for show and tell?
Hope this is OK here - please move if not.
Next month a dream is coming true for me -- I am teaching my favorite novel The Great Gatsby! As part of my lesson, I am bringing in several items that belonged to Fitzgerald, as well as first editions of the book throughout the years. I have some kids really into sports, and even a t206 collector, who I would love, love, love to show one of the Fitzgerald stamped cards to. Even though we don't know for 100% certain they belonged to him, I think the kids (especially those in sports) will really enjoy seeing one in-person. A few things to consider: - I will pay to have the card shipped to my home using any level service you would like. - I will be showing the card the week of January 16th. - The card will be mailed back that weekend in a box via USPS Priority Mail with full insurance. - Raw will work, however, I'd really prefer something graded for added protection. - Low value. - The card will be with my other collectibles and in my sight all day. They will be in a briefcase that I will be carrying with me everywhere I go (even to the bathroom). - Our school has really great kids -- if I thought there was even the slightest chance something bad could happen, I wouldn't bring any of these things in! So...if you can help please let me know! |
PM inbound. Great idea!

Scott Fitzgerald said he traded two Joe Jacksons for a Ty Cobb I wonder where those cards could be ?

Great Idea! My daughters favorite book! You must let us know how they liked the card if you do get one to use.

Jeff - I haven't heard that before - do you have a source for that quote? I would like to see the story that goes with it. Thanks!

If you don't end up getting one from Bryan, you can borrow my pink Chase. It's graded. Just don't open your briefcase in the bathroom :). Pm me if you want me to send and I'll get it out Tuesday.
