Need some help on stubs
Good morning all
I came across a bunch of Mets 69 stubs that I need- now they all have handwritten dates, when I match the home game number on the stub vs the handwritten dates - they do not match up. ( the dates are handwritten bc they are no dates printed on the stub its blank) is this b/c these are rain check tickets of some sort?? Or are these sellers just guessing? Anything helps thanks! AC |

Grandstand tickets were the top rows of the upper deck and were general admission. I don't think any of them had dates printed on them. If the dates don't match the game number (you are only counting home games when trying to figure them out, right?) :) its possible someone wrote the wrong dates.
Edit, Ijust checked the 1969 Mets schedule and Home Game #55 was August 3, so that ticket is correct. |
yes i have the schedule broken down in home games - but why does my have a printed date of aug 3 as the 58th home game? I assuming its due to rainouts and what not and maybe mine was a season ticket printed before the season started

the tickets are printed prior to the season beginning Game #1-80 these Game Numbers would also match the dated ticket which would also have a Home game number counting down home game results will not always match the actual Game Number on ticket , due to rainouts , the actual Game number is the key see a NY Yankees dated ticket from 1939 July 4th it has Game 34 now if you look on the box scores from that year and count down home game remember double headers only count as one Home Game number played the numbers wont match as they only include played game results hope this makes sense I have also included a 1939 Home game schedule pre printed prior to the start of the season |
Thank you all for your input! :)
