Open For Bidding: Love of the Game Auctions Fall Premier and Ringside Auction
Hi Everyone:
Just a quick note to let you know that the LOTG Fall 2017 Premier and Ringside auctions are open for bidding. Session 1, the Ringside auction, closes on Friday, November 24, with extended bidding beginning at 9PM Eastern. Session 2, the Premier auction, closes on Saturday, November 25, with extended bidding beginning at 9PM Eastern. Catalogs mail this week to all active bidders. I'm pretty excited about this auction because it's got a large assortment of memorabilia and autographs, with some pretty unique items that you don't see every day. Good luck to everyone bidding! http://loveofthegameauctions.com/Catalog.aspx -Al |

Great auction Al—good luck! One small point. I believe the Buchner statue featured in Lot#19 did not come with a gold top. I am pretty sure the original form is shown below (note: the clock and night stick are not original).

So I've got that going for me. Which is nice. Tom C https://i.ytimg.com/vi/uzjxBiGC8Kk/maxresdefault.jpg |
My employer owns that golf course now. We occasionally have receptions at the club house, so I've got that going for me...
Back on topic though, LotG is always one of my favorites. I've been happy as both a bidder and a consigner. Al's the man. |

Just kidding, I'm entering some bids now. :) |
So I blew up the picture of the T206 Marquard with the "red 8" on the sleeve- it's a really cool variation that I see will now be considered part of the master set- and it struck me that it is not an 8, but a red "B" similar to those found on the uniform of Boston NL players. Now this may already be known among T206 aficianados, but it's the first time I noticed it.

I could go in and on. Best movie scene ever IMO Great auction Al. Got a few bids that won’t likely hold! |
Thanks for the nice comments, everyone. I promise, no curses (out loud, at least) towards those who don't choose to bid.
Two other things: 1) Last week we announced that Jeff Prizner is now on board as Consignment Director with LOTG. I'm really excited about this, as Jeff is a quality guy with great knowledge and strong relationships, and his dedication to building a quality auction with top-notch integrity dovetails with mine. If Jeff reaches out to you privately, soliciting consignments, please do not hesitate to make his first auction with LOTG a strong one! More info on Jeff coming on board can be found here: https://lotgauctions.wordpress.com/2...ment-director/ 2) Please don't forget that we've changed our auction closing method to the new, "Double Overtime" closing method beginning with this auction. You still need to have your opening bids in by 9:00 pm eastern time (next Friday for boxing, Saturday for everything else), but if no bids are received on a lot after 1AM, that lot will close at 2. The only items that will remain open after 2AM are those that are still receiving bids after 1AM. Any questions, please do reach out. Thanks! -Al |
Happy to be a part of it!

Thanks Val, I finally got mine yesterday. Great auction-it was worth the wait.

Just a reminder that a the Ringside boxing portion of this auction (lots #709 and up) close tonight! Qualifying bids must be placed by 9:00 PM eastern - lots of boxing bargains still out there.
