FS/ 1951 Bowman Mickey Mantle rookie PSA 8(OC), $750K card except for centering!
 

Just look at these corners! 50/50 T-B centering! If someone can find a Mantle rookie with sharper corners, please shoot me a scan!! A PSA 3 just sold last week for $11,000!! A 6.5 sold for $33,000!! This card is absolutely razor sharp with no issues other than left to right centering... I have owned this card for over 25 years. Perfect centering top to bottom, snow white borders, and razor sharp corners that are 9's, no touches on any of them.... Also, no print lines, print dots, or wax stains, which tends to be a problem with this issue. This is a remarkable card, and a PSA 4 last month sold for $16,400, and a PSA 9 for $750,000!!!**No longer available** End thread

If sent to PSA with a “No Qualifiers” stipulation, would this come back as a PSA 5 or 6, in your opinion?

A 6.5 is probably guaranteed if they go by the strength of the corners, color, back, and registration. Also, no print lines, wax, or print dots... Because all 4 corners are untouched and mint, this card should be a 9(OC) which I would prefer over a 6.5. I can do enlarged scans to show what I'm talking about. I think if reviewed, a grade of 9(OC) probably would be the strongest bet.....I absolutely think it would get a 6.5 if asked for a straight grade as well....

Then get it reholdered as a PSA 6.5! I think everyone can agree that a non-qualifier card is always more desirable, even with a lower grade. Plus an 8 OC only counts as a PSA 5 points-wise in the registry, so you’d want that extra OOMPH for the registry buyers.
