Rarity of the T213-3 factory 8 overprint cards

Hi everyone. I’m trying to get some more information on the t213 type 3 overprint cards. I haven’t seen any dupes of these cards. Does anyone know roughly how many exist? How rare are these cards? For the red Cobb I have only heard of 1 example. I’m trying to see if there is a second known copy.

Any info on this set / these cards is much appreciated!!

I have one, a Merkle. I've been looking for 5 years, but I've never seen another one. TBOB told me that he owned a different one 20 years ago, but I've never located it.

Based on these older threads there appear to be duplicates of some.

There are at least 3 of Hoblitzell. I have 2 and one came up for auction about 6 weeks ago that I did not bid on.

you also had the doyle T213 type 3 overprint? that one had a strange back with faded print.. except the overprint was bold and vibrant.. can you post that one again? i dont understand how the overprint isnt as faded as the rest of the back..

Jamie, notice that on the SGC Hoblitzell the overstrike is faded or fainter print than the rest of the back. I assume the overstrike cards were released at a later time. I don't know why it mattered whether the back stated "Factory 8" instead of "Factory 3". I assume it had to do with sales tax or something. Rob
