For sale: '53 Topps Mantle PSA A - Looks like an 8
1 Attachment(s)
This was one of three raw cards I posted on N54 a while back. The other two were a 56 Topps Mantle that got a PSA 7, and a 1960 Topps Yaz that received a PSA 9(OC). I bought all 3 cards back in the early 90's from an auction were they were supposedly fresh out of packs. This 53 Topps Mantle is NOT trimmed, but the very bottom tip of the left corner has been touched with red according to PSA.... Why anyone would do this is beyond me as the card doesn't have a speck of paper loss. Regardless, the card looks like an 8 from every other aspect....I will get a scan of the back in the holder up soon....**SOLD**

I handled this card personally and I can vouch that it is absolutely stunning in person. Sharp corners, great color and fantastic centering. It's a shame about the coloring. Someone might even consider breaking it out and re-submitting. The card is truly magnificent.

deleted. this comment was in the wrong section, Sorry. This is a beautiful card!
I agree with the comment below, if that's your thing. |
There's nothing "scamming" about re-submitting cards for review again. I've re-submitted plenty of cards that I felt were either undergraded, or were given grades that I felt were inaccurate. I had a T206 that was given an MK qualifier. After resubmitting, there was no MK given and the grade was 1 point higher. I also submitted cards that were pulled fresh from a pack and graded as altered or Min Size Req. Re-submitting is part of the grading process.
