Baseball and football cast iron game figures help 6 Attachment(s) Looking for some help identifying 2 baseball and one football cast iron figures. Are they from a game or display of some type? Hi- I missed a box of about 6 of the football figures (some with different poses if I remember correctly) at an antique show in NH last year. They had the same paint yours do. I guessed they had come from a game but I am not sure. The dealer who had them used to set up at the National (vintage basketball was his specialty) and I think he sold the 6 for 100.00 total or so (maybe less). I am curious if anyone knows what these came from. Alan |

Seeing them again, I think yours are all football (like the ones I saw last year). I hope someone knows where they came from. Alan |

1 Attachment(s) Found some information on this, mechanical football game figures. It appears they are various colors, teams. Thanks for the response. |

The figures appear to originate from a Calamity football mechanical bank, as you posted, produced at the turn of the century by J & E Stevens. The bank has been reproduced, with originals extremely rare, selling in the tens of thousands of dollars range. I hope this information helps. |

Is there a way for me to tell if the figures I have are original ? I purchased these on Cape Cod and they could be original if the mechanical bank originated in Connecticut. |

there is NOTHING to suggest they aren't real. I'll eat one if they aren't authentic. Cannot replicate that look or materials - no point to it if one could. |

 Thanks... |
