Those are minimum increments. The winner was not late. I said 9 eastern. I checked my phone at 915 he was the winner

He made his post at 9:08. That is 8 minutes too late.

The board time is always, and has always been, Central time. However, of course a seller can say any time zone they want....but the board time is CST...

I had no idea.....I am EST....how come when I post it is current?

Leon 06-25-2020 07:46 AM

well, you might have a time zone set that way in your settings. I actually could be incorrect but know the board zone picked in the backend of the system is CST....

Actual Henderson winner and w explanation.

There What is a dispute over who won the auction. Some bitters and even myself forget the board time is two hours different than Eastern time. Thus if someone makes a bid at 7:08 PM bored time it is eight minutes late Eastern time. Also the person that bed 7 PM bored time was on time with the bid but did not increase by the minimum 250 over the prior bidder.

1952 Boynton collector is the winner. The new rules are up for the Ozzie Smith lucky that I have going up Friday. The auction will close at 9 PM bored time. So when you post on the board if it says 9 PM you were OK anything after 9 PM is no good. 9 PM bored time would be 11 PM Eastern which would be too late if I was asking for nine Eastern. So from now on all auctions will end and will be clearly stated and based on the time on the net 54 board.

And it was mentioned to me that people understand that I want to make as much as I can for my late friend’s wife on this card. Well that is true, I do not intentionally manipulating actions to raise how much I get bid for an item. I have an excellent reputation on Net 54, and want to do things correctly. Thank you very much Scott

Is the Ozzie the woman's card as well??

Marchillo 06-25-2020 02:29 PM

when I bid it on the weekly $7 auctions my time on my post is eastern

I just looked through the profile settings and I could not see where the time zone could be set. Someone please tell me if I've overlooked it. I think it is very possible that everyone's time displays based on the time zone thier computer is in. So the safest bet may be to say ends at 9:00 ET. As a test I am making this post at 6:49 PM EDT. Does someone in California see the time stamps at 3:49?

swarmee 06-25-2020 04:56 PM

UserCP, then Edit Options, then scroll down. That's where the settings are. Everyone can set their own time zone/DST settings, so there really isn't one specific "board time" that makes sense.

After posting above, I saw a time stamp of 6:50 PM. I set my timezone to Central, restarted my browser and now the time stamp, as expected shows 5:50 PM. Seems to support my theory that the time shown is dependent on the timezone the user's PC is currently in. There isn't a "board time zone" at least not on the website as displayed in a browser (Firefox Windows 10 for me)

That one is mine. There will be another one a little lesser coming up next week, that did belong to my late friend.

Thanks John. I really didn't know what other's saw. I knew I had set one of them, I guess my own one, previously.

So it has just occurred to me that I'm not even sure how to tell what the actual "Board Time" at any given moment unless I post something (which will then denote the Post Time/Board Time).

Leon - What are chances of adding a "Board Time Clock" at the Top of Page or in the little blurb (just below page ads on the right) that shows "Welcome -username-" and the "Last Time Visited"?

I think that might clear up a lot of confusion - Just a thought
