Newly Discovered 1919 World Series Snapshot Photo

I wanted to share this super cool photo I recently won on eBay and was excited to receive today. It came from a photo album obtained at an estate sale. The album had only one baseball related photo but it’s an incredible one! Thankfully it was identified below the photo as the 1919 World Series at Redland Field in Cincinnati or it would have been impossible to pinpoint as such. Can’t imagine there’s many unseen photos from that famous series still hanging around. I’d love to hear any of your (positive) comments. Any interesting details that you detectives out there can share? It looks to me like pregame warmups? Appears to be Reds players on the field (check out the zoomed in scans). Scans are shared with the permission of the seller, he was able to zoom in way better than I was able. Now I just need a World Series ticket to go with it!

The pitcher warming up (looking like he was going to pitch that day) is almost certainly Slim Sallee.

that'd make this game 7, since Sallee only started two games and game 2 was in Chicago.

On a side note-- they weren't too fond of using relievers back in the day huh? Each of the 8 games in the '19 WS had a complete game by at least one team.

I guess I'm missing something. Game 2 was in Cincinnati, but in any event, looking at Baseball Reference it seems that all four games played at Redland Field were started by either Dutch Reuther or Slim Sallee, both of whom were southpaws. Am I looking at the wrong guy?

Todd is right, dont listen to me :) not Sallee, but sure looks like him however he is indeed throwing right handed.
