Soaking cards in the winter
I bought this investment lot of twenty-eight 1971-72 Topps hockey cards for $3.70 or 14c each, and the cards needed a dunk in the kitchen sink to try to flatten them out. It's 27 degrees this morning in NE Florida, and using the normal "paper towel" methods, the cards are just not drying out. So I had to add an additional step, a partial "kiln dry" to these beauties.

Okay, I'm really curious: What is the secret to Getting What's Yours ?

Love it... a mad sports card scientist at work ! LOL

I had no clue that you could soak modern card-stock.

There is no point in soaking cheap cards - complete waste of time. Also, if you put them next to the fireplace like that, they are going to curl up and get ruined!

Thanks for sharing your fun project. Brian |
And Larry should be the ideal candidate to participate in Saturday's Brockelman Auction contest...I'm sure there are card prizes that are waiting to join your team.
