Odd looking slabbed T206
Not trying to call out the seller at all but does this Walsh PSA1 seem odd to anyone else? I don't know if I've ever seen a T206 with such sharp, clean edges, let alone a 1.

looks legit. Even the grade is correct.

It was in a scrapbook at one time. There are lots of cards like
the Walsh that were in scrapbooks here's a Pastorius with sharper corners that was in a scrapbook. Attachment 453942 Attachment 453943 |
Ok thanks so much for the info...sorry for the new question.

OK, Pat. Now, I feel stupid. The Walsh grade seems appropriate, as the back damage from where the card had been affixed to the book is clearly evident. I have two White Sox with Sweet Cap advertising backs. And while the paper loss is pretty minimal on them, I can see it on both. On your Pastorious example, I don't see any indication of damage. Am I blind? |
Glue stain is evident, no missing paper, its a nice scrapbook rescue example!

Stain on back

That's the classic example of, "buy the card, not the grade." Its eye appeal far exceeds the technical grade. |
Here's a beauty of mine with scrapbook paper loss - it's only a 3!
