Site Issue

Is anyone else having a problem with Mark Forums Read ? It hasn't worked for me in a couple weeks

butchie_t 06-04-2021 11:09 PM

Me too. I reported it when I first noticed it..

Not sure about the issue. The way I tell is when I have read a thread it turns a different color. A darker thread means there is a post I haven't read.

Leon, we used to be able to click on the Mark All Read and all post would be the dark color post would turn lite. I'm not sure about other guys but I like it that way

Threads turn light blue automatically for me when I click on a thread.....it goes from darker blue to lighter blue. That is the way I tell if I have read them. Also, I go to New Posts quite a bit. This issue sounds like it happened during our last php and version upgrade. I will try to look into it but I am not sure about the fix...

It allows all unread threads to be marked read all at once. It stopped working after the last maintenance update.

It will throw a token error now when you click it.

More to the point it returns the following:

‘ Your submission could not be processed because a security token was invalid. ‘

Same here.

Really useful feature in my opinion. I hope it can be fixed.

I told Leon about this a week ago. He blamed it on Safari.

Because that is what I thought it was.
My question to those having issues is do you use att or a subsidiary for your hosting provider?

butchie_t 06-06-2021 09:38 AM

Xfinity here.

It's a problem with net54's server. Invalid security token.

butchie_t 06-06-2021 09:54 AM

Agree. I found a video for a possible fix. But not sure if it applies to this platform.

Chris Browne, our member, might know how to fix this as it's most likely a php error. That is the last upgrade we did. We will see.

I am no longer getting the security token error and the posts are now being marked as read.

Thank you!

You are welcome but Chris gets all the credit. He has been a site administrator for a while and has fixed numerous big issues. It's appreciated too!
