What do the two VERY LONG road loooosing streaks have in common?

Both the Diamondbacks and the Orioles last won a road game when their starting pitcher did not surrender a single hit the entire game!

Madison Bumgarner kept the Braves hitless for the 7 inning second game of a double-header on April 25.

Arizona has now lost a record 23 straight road games.

John Means pitched a no-hitter in Seattle on May 5.

Baltimore has now lost 19 straight road games.

Very good. You win a lifetime supply of loosing steaks. God help your colon.

I made a correction....NOW, do you get my subtlety?

extra 'o's added on purpose.

I can't believe you guys went after what you figured was a misspelling, while missing the whole point of the thread...

Roughly half of my students spell lose with an extra o, so I don't think it's fair to expect readers to think the misspelling was intentional when someone does so in the context of also having misspelled the very next word.

I think this whole thread was a missed steak...

just messin' with you Robbie.

Ok, I’m impressed that the 2 losing streaks both followed no hitters, but there have been so many no hitters this year that the odds were probably not bad.

p.s. I double checked my spelling so as not to incur the same ridicule as Robbie got. My punctuation is fair game though.

This thread really shouldn't be on the front page but it's Robbie :) and we are here.

These guys had a loooosing streak too.

And that might be Thompson from the Contentnea series in the back row!

My apologies. I was so excited about discovering my little bit of trivia and my added 'o' to see if anyone got it, I misspelled streaks and put it on the wrong page. I had intended to put it on the watercooler.

Again, my apologies for thinking I was smart.

Sometimes being a good guy is better than being smart. Of course being both is optimum but just sayin' if I had to pick one attribute to be friends with....I will take the good guy. :)
