WTB Cheaper Flannels

Looking for MLB or Minor league flannels that are all original and "cheaper". I fully get flannels don't go for $50 but not looking to spend thousands unless you have a late 1800s Syracuse University :D

Please message me with photos, a description and an asking price.

Happy Collecting,
Jason

I collect ML GU flannels, and if there's one out there in all original condition, without noticeable damage, if I see it, it'll be going for at least $500.

There was a 1969 Phillies home shirt on ebay yesterday that had the bottom tags hemmed off (the coach who wore it was 5' 10" tall and weighed 160, so he didn't need the shirt tail.) It was also missing the 100th anniversary patch. So, not in original condition at all, but I still pushed it over $500 and was outbid.

However, ebay frequently has some really nice minor league and college flannels for a couple hundred bucks. There's a beautiful Harvard shirt out there now which still hasn't seen the minimum $149.00 bid.

Last night Huggins and Scott sold a beautiful 1965 Charlotte Hornets (Twins minor league team) shirt for a bid of $275 plus BP. So there is some really nice stuff out there. But major league flannels in original shape are not likely to be found, as I mentioned, for under $500 and usually a lot more.

Cheaper was a relative term I guess. I pay thousands for many of my game worn hockey jerseys so I was expecting to pay more than $500 for MLB (just didn't want to pay thousands). Baseball minor league flannels really depend on team and year (just like hockey). I just picked up an all original 1970 Indianapolis Indians (with team arm patch) for well below that. However paid up to get my Syracuse University jersey from the early 1920s a few years ago.

I like flannels so just seeing what is out there on the relatively affordable side.

With card prices going crazy, I think GU flannels are a relative bargain. Plus, they are really cool. Good luck with your collection (and I hope we don't bump heads in auctions too often in the future.)
