T205 Heinie Wagner sale at REA Why did this T205 Heinie Wagner sell for over $3,000 at REA? I understand he is a short print, but even for an SP I would have guessed it would sell for maybe a little over $1,000. The HOF SP's don't even sell for this much in a 5. https://bid.robertedwardauctions.com...?itemid=116706 |

It not even a Piedmont 42... So I have no idea why the big bump. It’s a solid 5 also so really no chance to regrade up to a 6. |

Because two people were willing to pay whatever one bid lower than it did for was. |

May be someone thought Heinie Wagner is same as Honus Wagner. |

Expecting rational outcomes is a bit of a stretch when we're dealing with humans engaged in an emotional hobby coupled with an auction process that tends to induce irrational thinking. But congrats to the seller! |

only ~20 copies graded psa 5 or higher, and the t205 short prints are getting more and more difficult to find in higher grade. I think the price is on the high side of reasonable. |

It’s just bizzare. Maybe the T205 SP’s are catching up to the T206’s Would be interesting to see what a Joss or Walsh would sell for in a 5 or 6 today |
