Over 450 full color pages. Nearly all known N172 Old Judge cards are pictured. Includes biographical information about each player (sample pages shown). Also has tons of info on other Old Judge issues (N167, N173, N175 etc.), how they were produced, the rarities within the set, advertising, uncut sheets, etc.

It's obviously a great reference. It's also a great read on it's own for both the cards and the players.

...and it's an interesting coffee table book that many visitors have thumbed through and found interesting, even people who have no idea about baseball cards (which is most people who find themselves in my living room).

My personal want-list for A/G is 15-16 cards and I'm 2/3rd the way there. Because of that, it's value as a reference for me is minimal, but I can't imagine getting rid of it because of it's all-around information value.

I can definitely can vouch that this is a "must have" book. I believe that I paid at least double the price than what's offered here ..... and it was still worth it.

Same. I think I paid $50-$60 for my copy years ago, and worth every penny.

A fresh batch of books just arrived.

As I alluded to in my previous posts, this book is well worth it at twice the price, even if you don't collect 19th century cards. It might just make you want to pick up the Old Judge card collecting habit though.
