SI The Baseball Book
 

Picked up this heavyweight book at the thrift store. What a disappointment. Way too much emphasis on modern day, with occasional mention of what happened in the past, like Babe Ruth. There's a big fold out centerspread of SI's all-time all-star team. Very nicely done, but they obviously put this book together before 'roids, with folks like Clemens, ARod, and others on this "team", while leaving off Jimmie Foxx, Dizzy Dean, Bob Feller and the like. What a waste of time. I'm going to donate it back.
