Is this Roger Maris signature authentic?
1 Attachment(s)
Anyone have an opinion on if this Roger Mari's signature on my baseball is authentic?
|
Post some additional pictures of the ball please and that will help. I believe that's a Charles Feeney ball (1970-86 NLP). Maris retired after the 68 season, so it may help if you show the other signatures.

Good.

I think it's definitely good

The M looks funny, but I believe it is good as well.
|
Yup - Maris is good
|
the maris is no doubt authentic.
|
Not questioning the opinions above and this is only for my edification, but do almost all the signatures appear to have been signed with the same pen?

how were you able to get it verified on a 2nd attempt? I have a Jeter signed bat that failed jsa authentication. I believe it's authentic and am looking for ways to get it authenticated.

But the fact that it's slabbed now makes it a sellable commodity, and in the autograph market, that seems to be all that counts. Quote:

Maris Signatures
I believe the first Maris signature is definitely good, as are the other signatures shown on the ball. The second Maris doesn't look good to me; not saying it isn't, but I wouldn't buy it, authenticated or not.
