Glyn Parson - Memorial Service Update

It’s with a heavy heart I post that my good friend, Glyn Parson, passed away this week. I’d known Glyn since he was in high school - he was a good guy. We set up together at several shows, including the Cleveland National. He was a quiet, no-nonsense dealer, and will be missed in the sports card community. Glyn leaves behind a wife, Melissa, and a daughter, Cassidy. Please keep them in your thoughts. RIP

***The family will be holding a memorial service for Glyn, May 22 at the Mae Stump Funeral Home in Fleetwood, PA from 6pm to 8pm.***

Very sorry to hear this. Glyn fought thru health issues and never let it get him down or deter his passion for the hobby.

Didn't know Glyn very well but dealt with him a few times on ebay and seemed like a nice fellow...RIP...Jerry

Wow, wishing his family the best. I always made it a point to stop at his table and say hello

Johnny630 05-15-2024 05:49 PM

RIP may God Bless his family and friends.

WHAT??? I was just talking to him last week. This is a gut punch. Thanks for saying something John.

Eric72 05-15-2024 06:08 PM

Condolences to his family. I met Glyn a couple times. He was polite and professional.

Since every thread should have a card, here's the one I got from him back in 2014. Hard to believe 10 years passed by so quickly.

RIP. Condolences to his loved ones.

So sorry to hear this.

Glyn was always fun to catch up with, full of enthusiasm for the hobby, especially the fringe items that some of us enjoy collecting . . . sport and non-sport, cabinet cards, redemption coupons, liked 19th century, etc. I'll always remember the larger-than-life smile that greeted me and so many others when we would catch up at a show.

Thoughts and prayers to family and friends.

I emailed with him day before yesterday. What the heck? That really sucks.
This is kind of totally out of the blue...
RIP my friend.

An honest man who knew a lot about the dark side of the hobby. Sad.

Was definitely one of the guys you could 100% trust. His honesty often made him unpopular in certain circles. Something to aspire to.

I didn't know Glyn but appreciated his comments here, and he had a badass avatar. I feel anytime we lose a long time member we lose irreplaceable knowledge and experience, RIP Glyn.

Bleep!

He was just posting on FB earlier this week.

Nice guy, will miss him and may his memory be for a blessing

Glyn was a good knowledgeable guy- who I will miss visiting with at east coast shows. I first met him when he was hanging with Levi and the 707 crew back in the day. Too young to no longer be with us. This hobby is better - because of guys like him. RIP

brass_rat 05-15-2024 09:47 PM

Glyn was a familiar presence at many shows I attend. My condolences to his family and friends. Rest in peace.

I did not know Glyn, but seeing all the comments concerning his passing, I know he was well respected by many and loved by many, I'm sure. 52 Is way too young of an age to pass on. I'll keep his family in my prayers.

So Long My Friend Glyn Parsons

I lost a friend of many years. We traveled around the nation with Levi and I.

Chicago to Atlantic City Boston to Pittsburgh. Many days of laughter buying

and selling cards. Sitting by a computer using Justa Snipes to win the prizes.

Sitting at auctions to win that coveted baseball card. Will miss you Glynn but I

know you are now at peace. God Bless You.

Your Buddy Vic
