Women in Baseball - Pre-WWII

We don't get to see enough baseball women on the forum.

Circa 1880s tinype. A larger variety at approximately 3" x 5"

I have several women-related items, but I will start with some tintypes.

How about Jackie Mitchell, who struck out Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig in an exhibition game while pitching for the Chattanooga Lookouts!

Here’s a 1913 photo of a young woman with the New York Female Giants which was the first attempt to form a "league of their own" approx thirty years before WWII!

Thanks, Lucas -- the N557 is very tough in its own right but the N285 Buchner took me a while to find.

How about a woman’s body with a superimposed President’s head?
