That's out there and just plain crazy!

Lucas00 06-08-2025 06:22 PM

Looks cool to me, don't see any issue.

Agreed! Definitely cool.

Eric72 06-08-2025 07:05 PM

I'm pretty sure they're a member here.

CRT Sportscards

Balticfox 06-08-2025 07:05 PM

Silly. Just silly. A tramp stamp for girls, or cherries on a woman's ankle but more than that just makes me roll my eyes.

Natswin2019 06-08-2025 07:06 PM

I follow the guy who has these tattoos on instagram and he seems like a cool guy. A really super knowledgeble collector

kmac32 06-08-2025 07:20 PM

It does make it rather difficult to trade cards!

Hey everyone! It's me!

On a complete side note, I wish Fanatics/Topps would stop sharing that video as it does the tattoo a complete disservice.

Since that video was filmed at the 2023 National have completed the arm, touched up the weak areas in the video, as well finished the right arm and you can see all of my work on Instagram. My handle is @CRT_sportscards!

This post screams “I am 80 years old”

JimC 06-08-2025 08:35 PM

The quality of that art is just outstanding. Cool stuff.

I balance off my collecting of little boys' bubble gum cards with a mature aesthetic sense. I take it you've yet to develop a similar such sense.

:p

Very nice work, is that a Cobb/Cobb back?

ajjohnsonsoxfan 06-08-2025 09:03 PM

Chris amazing work! I think it looks awesome. Don't let fuddy duddies tell you otherwise. :-)

bk400 06-08-2025 09:35 PM

That's really great looking art. The time, pain, and money that went into that clearly shows!

Hope there isn't a modern version of you with full sleeves of Wander Franco refractors.

Lighten up dude. To each their own.
I think it’s outstanding! Colors are beautiful!

They are quite colorful, and very authentic looking. As a counterpoint, my future tank top sleeves should feature T206 cards like the ones below.

I'm not a tattoo guy, but if I was...

Beercan collector 06-09-2025 04:24 AM

Amazing how good these tattoo artist are getting

boysblue 06-09-2025 06:33 AM

Not a tattoo guy myself, but like Doug Goodman, if I was....

His body, if he enjoys it then who am I to criticize?

theshowandme 06-09-2025 06:50 AM

Chris is one of the best pre-war ambassadors we have in the hobby

His YouTube channel is educational and well produced

An added bonus is that he’s not trying to sell you anything… he just wants to talk about cards!

perezfan 06-09-2025 08:10 AM

Gorgeous artwork.... That Tattoo Artist could probably make the 1966 Don Mossi look pretty!

Yes, to each their own. I don't pay any attention to tattoos worn by men. I really don't much care about tattoos (although the tattoos of some women may draw my eye).

I was merely giving a casual opinion when it was solicited by this thread:

"I do have a limit on collecting."

"Lighten up"? Excuse me but I get my back up when directly insulted:

I tend to respond harshly.

D. Bergin 06-09-2025 10:41 AM

I don't have any tats, but I think those are great. I have sensitive skin and was always worried I'd react poorly to them.

My wife has several in fairly inconspicuous parts of her body, and they're all basically tributes to animals and people who have been a part of our lives.

Guess I was right.

Balticfox 06-09-2025 11:16 AM

No you weren't. But I'm giving you "credit" for trying.

:p

3rdBase 06-09-2025 11:31 AM

Beautiful work!!!....Kudos to you and the artist!

3-2-count 06-09-2025 12:40 PM

Chris they look GREAT!!

Yoda 06-09-2025 01:25 PM

Chris, wonderful work by the artist with you, no doubt, supervising. I have a nice tat on my back, and I am 80 years old.

oldjudge 06-09-2025 01:45 PM

For me, tats are like any other form of art—some I like, some I don’t. These fall solidly in the latter category.

Leon 06-09-2025 02:50 PM

Tats...

I don't do tats myself but my daughter has a few inconspicuous ones. Those are pretty cool looking. Can you slab them somehow?

Tell me about it! Can't help but think the exact same thing when I see a dude with colored hair. Talk about silly.
