Obscure Sports Bios
As Sports nerds, we run across these all the time. Somebody you never heard of before, but you jump down that rabbit hole and have a hard time crawling out.
Today I'm doing some research on some boxing posters I'm working on and run across this fella named Al Migliorato. I've been researching boxers for nearly 30 years in tandem with dealing with their Memorabilia, and don't recall stumbling across this guy before, but look into his story and ......... He's originally from Pennsylvania...but is certainly a full blown "Florida Man". Not surprisingly, I've run across an alarming number of Florida club fighters, with almost equally colorful and tragic stories. Here's his Wiki entry: read all the way to the bottom if you get the chance. Dave,
The bio begs the question who was the best sky-diving boxer. It certainly wasn't Al. |

I didn't know whether to laugh or cry, when I got to that twist. Al did not lack for confidence, that's for sure. Here's a fight poster featuring Al. |
