1961 Topps series 6 reconstruction
2 Attachment(s)
I have a few miscuts of the semi high series (series 6) for 1961 but am looking for any that members may have, so that a reconstruction of the slits can be attempted. If any wrong backs or partial panels are known, please share!!
The series 6 printing has 77 cards (447 to 522, plus a repeat of checklist 6). The checklist 6 variation printed in this series was the one where Aparicio's name was spelled "Louis" and I think the checklist 7 variation was the one where the copyright symbol is over the player's cap rather than over 2nd base. Found another wrong back. This one of Gene Oliver and Don Zimmer. Klimchock, I think, is next to Zim

Today was a lucky day for wrong backs. #469, Lumenti, has a WB of #473, Shantz AS. I believe that is #504, Consolo, next to Shantz AS.

...and that's Clarence "Choo Choo" Coleman ABOVE Zimmer....a THREE-fer!
Would love to see some of those in 1965/6th! |

Pagliaroni, #519, is definitely a header (left edge) card. Examples can be found with the slit marking (blue mark in left border), wavy edge cut, and an oversized left margin. If only they were all so easy.

1961 Topps Series 6
Series 6 is a 77 card series, so SPs exist. However, Cliff and I are both finding that some cards (e.g., Cheney, Thomas, Brandt, Will, CL7...) have exceptionally low ebay counts (e.g., < 50), while others (Rice, Klimchock, Burnside to name but a few) have ebay counts in excess of 400.
Is anyone aware of any information that suggests strange slit patterns or printing issues for this series (perhaps similar to what was done in Series 5)? The count variances are so extreme that I certainly wonder if something unusual occurred. |

The 1961 series 6 reconstruction is as frustrating as the 1965 series 6 reconstruction is. Miscuts are few and far between. However, I did spot this one recently. Any help identifying the card below is appreciated.

I'm hoping that Bolin is left of Shantz MVP because of this line.
