PSA same serial number two different grades????
Hi Gang:
I am not a graded guy so I don't know all the machinations. But can someone explain to me how a PSA graded card with the same serial number have two different grades? See: https://www.postwarcards.com/behind-...m_medium=email |
Someone submitted it for a grade review I’d guess and it was bumped up to a 10. That’s all I got.

Yep, PSA agreed it was a 10 after it was resubmitted.

I assume everyone who resubmits gets a higher grade?? :) |
Back when I was an annual member of PSA, I used my 15 included grades one time to do a Graded Card Review submission. I think 6 of my 15 were upgraded, the others stayed at the same grade.
That was probably above average at the time. If you crack and resubmit, they have to give it a new cert number. If you send back the original flip, they'll remove the original card out of the Pop Report so that it stays more accurate. New grading company TAG, which does assessments using Machine Learning, can spot cards getting resubmitted and promises never to give the same card a higher grade, or you get some cash bonus for fooling the algorithm. |

Many online posters (like me) believe PSA bought that in order to shelve it and not have to compete with it.
