Excellent work by writer Michael A. O’Grady appeared in the spring /summer 1995 issue of “The Island” magazine published by Prince Edward Island Museaum and Heritage Foundation.

Very cool article, thanks for sharing! I’ve spent a few weeks in PEI for work this year, so have done some reading about be history of the island while staying in Charlottetown. This is a fun one to add to the local history knowledge.

For those of you that haven’t been to PEI, I highly recommend it. The lobsters, mussels, oysters and potatoes make it a must hit for food lovers! Also the Anne of Green Gables tourist are, surprisingly, a pretty fun crowd!
