Exhibitman’s substack

I just read it, so it is fresh on my mind. But if anyone is not reading Adam’s substack blog, you are missing out. I remember watching his comedy routine years ago and laughed a lot. I see the same humor in the blog. I’m glad to be a subscriber. I really look forward to reading - for not other reason than finding out who needs to get off of his lawn this week. Although combined shipping on a $1 card and the $12 lowball to give to “dad” because he was there when fireball Roberts died, would probably make me a tad grumpy as well.

Adam doesn’t know me or like me. And if he knew me he probably wouldn’t like me, but it makes me chuckle and I wanted to make sure everyone else had that chance for a bit of laughter as well.

Thanks; it is a lot of fun to do. Like comedy, it all begins with a complaint. That's why my favorite holiday ritual is Festivus's airing of greivances:

"I've got a lot of problems with you people and now you're gonna hear about it."

Of course, the way I was raised every family event was Festivus: nothing was ever good enough. I come home with a 95 on a test, my mother asks who got the 96 and my father tells me to go be friends with that kid since he' smarter than me. It was like the old joke where the waiter comes to the table and asks: "Is anything alright?"

No respect, I tell ya, no respect.

I really get a kick out of it and wanted to make sure others were aware of it as well. I have started going straight to the feats of strength. My friends and family are well aware of the grievances now, so we go straight into wrestling’s position.

I enjoy Adam's entries whenever they show up in my inbox.

He's a talented and funny writer.

...and for so many years I thought he only wrote incredibly useful reference material for myself and about 12 other guys in the hobby who remembered the sport of boxing before the Paul brothers showed up to tell us actual Championships, Skill, Weight Classes, Age and Level of Competition no longer matter.

...Followers on social media is what matters now. ;)

Adam's substack is a hoot.

Five stars! (that's five out of five, not five out of ten).

Adam's newsletter gets read immediately when it shows up in the inbox. I might even interrupt ebay searches to read it. :-)

It’s a great fun read. I always say, if you have nothing nice to say about people I want you sitting at my table.
