CGC Grading of N172

I looked at ebay to see the slabs provided by CGC for OJs (N172). What I didn't like is the lack of a pose number on the slab label.

A few TPGs put the pose number on the label these days and I was wondering if anybody submitted OJs to CGC and asked for the pose number to be put on the label? If so, did CGC accommodate the request?

I'm thinking about submitting a batch but would rather not do so if they can't put the pose number on the label.

Thanks for any comments or suggestions.

I posted one today in BST if you want to see it (I did not submit to CSG). It described the pose on the flip. My understanding is CSG is more willing to add things like collection names etc, so maybe you can ask.

Jamie,

That's a CSG slab. So many the letter TPGs (active and former): SGC, PSA, CSG, CGC, GAI, Pro (hahahahaha).

This will be my first CGC submission. We'll see how this goes.

I’d be more concerned about the graders getting the grade right than putting the pose number on the slab. The former seems to be a real problem these days.

CSG and CGC are the same company. When the first started grading sportscards, they created a new acronym, but about a year ago, merged them together under CGC.

A PSA: with SGC soon to be MIA, don't mix up CSG and CGC or you're SOL.
